This Nets-Sixers trade features Ben Simmons, Kyrie Irving

The Brooklyn Nets shocked the rest of the NBA when they executed a four-team trade centered around James Harden. The intent was to form an incredible super-team with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving already in the fold. Instead, could a trade for Ben Simmons with the Philadelphia 76ers be the best course of action?

There has been a real degree of unreliability when it comes to Kyrie Irving. Between his tendency to miss a lot of games due to various injuries and now unexplained absences, it’s not easy to count on him to play and lead the team for a majority of games.

With Kevin Durant and James Harden both in their 30s, there simply isn’t time for neither them nor the Nets to waste. Irving is set to soon return to the team but his recent absence has at least made the thought of trade scenarios with him as the focus a plausible activity.

On the other hand, Irving is still an incredible talent and any team should want to have him on their roster — including both the 76ers and Nets. If Philadelphia wanted to make a splash of their own, he would be an intriguing compliment to Joel Embiid.

With that being said, let’s take a look at a blockbuster NBA trade scenario that would feature both Ben Simmons and Kyrie Irving.
