Why This Trade Would Benefit The Houston Rockets

The Houston Rockets are well into the rebuilding phase. This deal would just continue to clean house and solidify the notion that they are moving in a new direction. This is what Houston did beginning in the offseason.

The new-look front office of the Rockets made it clear that some changes were going to be made. It began when they hired Stephen Silas to be the new head coach. Westbrook was then sent away and now Harden is gone as well. There are still other trade pieces on the roster and this deal gets rid of two of them.

The Rockets are committed to Wall and Christian Wood for the future. It will take some time to rebuild a roster back up to being a contender in the West, but this is the right move for the franchise.

Houston feels good about the people they have in charge and trust the moves that are going to have to make. They were able to get a huge haul for Harden and could look to win another deal by sending Tucker and Gordon away.
