Why This Trade Would Benefit The OKC Thunder
The OKC Thunder have been in the business of sending players away. It began with sending Chris Paul to the Phoenix Suns and continued with Dennis Schroder to the Los Angeles Lakers. In that deal, they acquired Danny Green, who they quickly flipped to the Philadelphia 76ers.
Muscala could be next on the list. He is an elite three-point shooter and has been for years now. This fits right into what the Warriors like to do offensively.
Most importantly, Muscala would bring another threat that opposing defenses would have to worry about. Now, they are all focused on Curry and taking him out of the game with multiple defenders.
The Thunder have been interested in building up NBA Draft capital over the last few years. Whether it is first or second-round picks, those assets have been valuable to Presti and that will continue moving forward.
