Julius Randle – Forward/Center – New York Knicks

Julius Randle has looked fantastic so far this season and looks like a definite All-Star. In nine games for the Knicks, Randle is averaging 22.6 points, 12.0 rebounds, 7.3 assists, and is shooting 49% from the floor.

Chicago’s front-court with Markkanen and Carter Jr. has been consistent at times, but has also been non-existent at times. While he plays power forward/center, Randle is really a positionless player and a type of guy who can make everyone around him better.

He not only leads the Knicks in assists per game this season, but also in rebounding and scoring. His versatility on the offensive end of the court could really help the Bulls’ back-court duo of White and LaVine, as he could take a lot of pressure off of these two to be the main facilitators on the court.

Not to mention, Randle is also under contract next season, so the Bulls would not have to be worried about retaining him in the offseason and could potentially work on a long-term extension throughout next season.

The biggest thing the Bulls need as an organization is a true playmaker and it would not hurt for this player to be young either. The average age of this team is 25 years old, making them one of the younger teams in the league and Randle is only 26 years old. He could fit right into their youthful core and be a player they could build with and around for many years to come.

A duo of Zach LaVine and Julius Randle with plenty of role players and young talent around them could be exactly what this Bulls team needs to push themselves into the playoffs as a low-seed in the Eastern Conference.
