Why This Trade Would Benefit The Houston Rockets

The Houston Rockets would be the winners of this trade. James Harden is unhappy with the current situation in Houston and it was taken up a notch when Russell Westbrook was traded. The Rockets would be able to get rid of a disgruntled player along with completing reshaping their roster.

Victor Oladipo would be a short-term option, unless Houston decides to extend his contract. This seems likely if a trade is made. Myles Turner is an important piece as well to balance the floor.

Christian Wood is off to a hot start this season and would be part of a dynamic frontcourt with Turner. The Rockets clearly want to go in a different direction with the new-look front office and Stephen Silas as head coach. It began with the trade for John Wall and could continue here.

The Rockets would get four players ready to contribute immediately along with three first-round picks. This seems like a no-brainer for a franchise looking to turn the corner and completely reshape.
