Why This Trade Would Benefit The Cleveland Cavaliers
At the moment, the Cavaliers have one of the most head-scratching rosters in the NBA. They made a trade for Andre Drummond prior to the shutdown last season. This move could only be explained by an interest from both sides to stick around long-term. Nothing has happened yet. For Kevin Love, his time has run its course.
Love will always be remembered in Cleveland as part of the big three that won the franchise their first championship. Cleveland has won four of it’s worst six games and it is because of 26 points per game from Sexton. He is beginning to take his game to the next level.
Garland is second on the team with 17.2 points per contest while shooting 46.2% from the three-point line. This is the direction that Cleveland is heading and Nunn would give them another big-time option on the perimeter.
The Cavaliers might have a chance to rebuild quicker than originally expected. If they were to send some veterans away for younger options, it would speed up the process even more.
