This out-of-the-box trade would send Joel Embiid to Sacramento

There may be no hotter team in the NBA right now than the Philadelphia 76ers. They are near the top of the Eastern Conference because of their consistent play from their superstars. Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid, and Tobias Harris are off to magnificent start to the season.

Doc Rivers also has an effect on this team from the sideline. They are well-coached and playing great basketball thus far. When he took over as head coach, he expressed that the team will not look to trade either Embiid or Simmons this year. They believe in the roster they have and think that they are legitimately one of the best teams in the NBA. If that notion changes, there could be a blockbuster coming.

The Sacramento Kings could come out of nowhere and surprise everybody. They have been featured in rumors because of their alleged interest to trade Buddy Hield.

Nothing has happened just yet but that does not mean that Hield will remain with the Kings long-term. Marvin Bagley III is another player who has found himself in rumors in recent weeks. Along with NBA Draft picks, the Kings could put together a package to land a big name from the 76ers.

This trade would not go over well for Sixers’ fans, but the front office must do what is right. If they believe their trading away a big name is right, it will get done. Let’s take a look at what it might take to get this deal done.
