Why This Trade Would Benefit The Golden State Warriors
The Golden State Warriors have been linked to some names in NBA trade rumors but they have all been on the perimeter. It is not easy to lose Klay Thompson and replacing him is even harder. In this particular trade, they will go in a different direction and look for some more help down low.
Draymond Green has missed some time with an injury and the team is thin on depth with Marquese Chriss out for the remainder of the season. This leaves the Warriors relying on a rookie to be the leader down low. He has looked like the real deal so far.
Golden State won their championships with Steph Curry because of their elite guard play and three-point shooting. They have never been the strongest team in the frontcourt but that did not matter with their prowess from deep. With Thompson out once again, the Warriors could look to build up the other aspects of their roster.
Dwight Howard could be that addition. He is a player who has been around in the league. He has played with many different personalities and could act as a leader in the locker room along with Steph Curry and Draymond Green.
