This Mavericks-Jazz trade would pair Mike Conley and Luka Doncic

Why The Trade Would Benefits The Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks took a step forward last NBA season when they clinched the seventh seed in the postseason and took the Los Angeles Clippers to six games. This was a step in the right direction but there is still work that needs to be done. Adding a third star would go a long way for the team.

Right now, Luka Doncic is handling the point guard position — and doing it well. He is a player that can do it all on the court but it would benefit his game to play off the ball. The addition of Conley would allow him to do so.

Conley would be the primary ball-handler in the half-court and set up the offense for the Mavericks. He is a threat from beyond the arc as well. He is shooting 45.2% from the three-point line this season. This brings another big shooter to Dallas.

Mark Cuban is an owner who is not afraid of making the big move. We have seen this in the past. He will do what it takes to win and making this trade for Conley might be what it takes to climb up the standings.
