Why This Trade Would Benefit The Boston Celtics
The Boston Celtics are in need of help down low. This was obvious since the Eastern Conference Finals. They did not go out and get any outside of Thompson which makes one believe that they like Theis and Robert Williams. If a deal for Andre Drummond presents itself, that would be hard to turn down.
Drummond is off to a hot start once again this season. Through four games, Drummond has notched four double-doubles and is averaging 19.8 points and 15.2 rebounds per contest. He continues to be one of the best rebounders on both ends of the floor.
Drummond has the presence that Boston needs down low come playoff time. There are some tough bigs in the Eastern Conference and the Celtics have a chance to get exposed as the season goes on.
Boston has plenty of trade pieces they could offer the Cavaliers in this trade. To this point, they have ignored all options when improving their frontcourt so it will be interesting to see if they make one now that the season has started.
