Utah Jazz
The Utah Jazz has really built their team around the “3-and-D” philosophy as last year, they were the top three-point shooting team in the NBA during the regular season and ranked 9th in total team defense. With Rudy Gobert commanding the paint, the Jazz has one of the best interior defenses in the NBA and with the addition of a guy like Draymond Green, the Jazz could become even better defensively.
When looking at Utah’s roster, it is clear to see that they need help in their frontcourt as they do not have much depth behind Rudy Gobert. The Jazz tend to play “small-ball” at times when Gobert is not on the court, which is exactly where Green could fit in.
Bojan Bogdanovic is normally the guy who plays the power-forward position for the Utah Jazz, but he is more of a perimeter and wing player than a low-post/paint threat. With the addition of Green, he can not only act as a tough guy in the paint on both ends of the court, but he can also be one of the team’s main distributors in the low post or on the perimeter.
His ability to spread the court and push the ball in transition could be very useful for the Jazz, especially since they have great athletes like Donovan Mitchell and Jordan Clarkson who can punish teams running in transition.
With their nature of play, it makes total sense for Utah to target a guy like Draymond Green and in a loaded Western Conference, he could be a small addition to their team that helps them make a run at the Western Conference Finals come playoff time.
