G/F Justise Winslow – Memphis Grizzlies

Last season, the Memphis Grizzlies acquired Justise Winslow in a three-team deal that sent Jae Crowder, Solomon Hill and Andre Iguodala to the Miami Heat. Due to numerous injuries, Winslow was unable to play for the Grizzlies last season and will miss the start of this season with a hip injury.

In his five years with the Miami Heat, Winslow was a solid role player on the wing, who also had no problem bringing the ball up the court and being a primary ball-handler. In 241 total games with the Heat since 2015, Justise Winslow averaged 9.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists and shot 41.7% from the floor, 33.7% from three-point range.

While he does not seem to be a guy who can contribute in the starting lineup, he could definitely be a high-impact guy off the bench and with him having some skills of a point guard, act as a secondary distributor on the court. Injuries have hampered his abilities in the NBA, but Winslow has always been an above average athlete who is able to use his length and quickness to score in the paint.

His versatility makes him an intriguing trade target for the New Orleans Pelicans because he could help them out at any position on the court. Having a guy that New Orleans could move around and put him in any rotation would be extremely valuable and could help improve their bench greatly.

Not to mention, Justise Winslow won a championship when he was at Duke and knows what it is like to be a part of a winning team. With Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson being the focal points of the Pelicans, Winslow could end up being  a sneaky good get for this team.
