This Bulls-Knicks trade features an intriguing prospect for New York

This deal features two teams who will most likely be lottery teams in the 2021 NBA Draft. Both the Chicago Bulls and New York Knicks are near the bottom of the Eastern Conference and could use some help immediately. In this trade, one intriguing name could be on the move in second-year guard Coby White.

White burst onto the scene as a rookie and looked like a potential centerpiece player for Chicago. The Bulls have big-name players in Zach LaVine and Lauri Markannen. Both have been featured in trade rumors, but nothing has been done just yet.

It was assumed that the Bulls would keep White to team up with their newest draft pick in Patrick Williams, who they used the fourth pick on in the draft. Here, they would be able to hang on to LaVine and Markannen while sending White to New York.

The Knicks do not have a viable option on their team to handle the ball. Elfrid Payton and Dennis Smith Jr. have been huge disappointments during their time in New York. Rookie Immanuel Quickley will likely work his way into a starting role throughout the season. Until then, RJ Barrett will have to do a large part of the ball handling. This would not be the case if the Knicks added White.

If the Bulls and Knicks got together for a deal, it would have to benefit both sides. Here is what a potential deal between the two sides might look like featuring Coby White.
