Caris LeVert, Brooklyn Nets
In 45 games last season, Caris LeVert took a major step in his career and averaged 18.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.4 assists and shot 42.5% from the floor, 36.4% from three-point range. Leading the Nets last season, Caris LeVert looked like a potential NBA All-Star and had a lot of impressive performances.
Ahead of the NBA shut down, Caris LeVert scored a career-high 51 points on 17-26 from the floor against the Boston Celtics. Only six times during the regular season did LeVert fail to score in double figures and looks to have all the potential to be a star player in this league one day.
If the Brooklyn Nets are the team the Rockets decide to trade Harden to, they have to make sure one of the players they are getting in return is Caris LeVert. His versatility and ability to be an effective two-way player in the NBA makes him extremely valuable and given his performances in the NBA Bubble, they sky’s the limit for the 26-year old wing.
Moving forward in the post-Harden era, the Houston Rockets will need to have a young player to put all their faith into, which is why acquiring LeVert makes a ton of sense. John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins have looked solid in the preseason and could potentially be great complimentary players for the Rockets, but it is too early to say that they are All-Star talents still given their injury history over the years.
If the Rockets decide to trade Harden to the Nets, the only deals they should consider are the ones that include Caris LeVert in them.
