4 burning questions for Indiana Pacers entering 2020-21 NBA season

Injuries and lack of success have defined the Indiana Pacers over the years, making the 2020-21 NBA season critical for this organization. Things have not gone their way over the last few seasons but if this team can remain healthy, the Indiana Pacers could be a legit team in the Eastern Conference.

The emergence of TJ Warren last season was a great sign for Pacers fans, as Warren was a player that the Pacers had a lot of faith in to grow into a great player. After the NBA’s resumption of play in the Orlando Bubble, TJ Warren averaged 31.0 points, 6.3 rebounds and shot 52.4% from three-point range in six seeding games. He was named to All-Seeding Games First-Team as a result of his great play.

With Warren looking like an All-Star type talent entering the 2020-21 NBA season and with former All-Stars Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis healthy entering the year, expectations are once again high for a Pacers team that has underperformed over the years.

After dealing with numerous leg injuries over the years, Victor Oladipo’s future with the Pacers is up-in-the-air and after declining to offer him a contract extension last season, Oladipo is a player who could be traded at some point during the regular season depending on how the Pacers are doing.

Entering the 2020-21 NBA season, the Pacers need to take advantage of their opportunities early on in the year, especially given their injury past. Hopefully everyone will be able to remain healthy for their sake, but Indiana’s track record is not promising. Their success is heavily focused on whether or not they can remain healthy and if they cannot, the Pacers could be facing yet another disappointing season.

With lots of questions circulating about this team’s future, here are 4 burning questions for the Indiana Pacers entering the 2020-21 NBA season.
