Why the Trade Benefits the Brooklyn Nets
The Brooklyn Nets have been linked to James Harden over the course of the offseason. They have not that big move just yet but it could be on the horizon. This is not the move that would get fans too excited but it would add a presence that would help the team over the course of an entire season.
The Nets are extremely heavy in the backcourt. Outside of Kyrie Irving, they have dynamic players such as Spencer Dinwiddie and Caris LeVert. They are a complete team with a chance to contend for a championship.
If they are looking for another difference-maker, Young could be that player. He is a versatile big that could provide a spark off the bench in many ways. This would lengthen their frontcourt which is an important aspect to have come postseason time.
Brooklyn has its eyes on the prize coming into the NBA season. There is a feeling that they will be able to get something done prior to the start of the season. It will be interesting to see what happens moving forward.
