Why the Trade Benefits the Los Angeles Clippers
Unlike the Miami Heat, the Los Angeles Clippers seemed to run into some struggles down in the bubble. They clearly did not agree with the public on Paul George’s contributions when looking at the contract they decided to give him. The duo of George and Kawhi Leonard will run it back this season but they could choose to improve in the backcourt.
Kendrick Nunn would bring a different energy to the Clippers. He is a player to help their roster get younger while not losing any depth n the bench in sending away Lou Williams. Kelly Olynyk is another veteran name with postseason experience, similar to Marcus Morris.
The Clippers need some players to handle the ball to take the pressure off George and Leonard on the perimeter. They would benefit from being able to play off the ball more in stretches— hopefully enabling them to become more efficient in key moments.
Los Angeles suffered a big loss in NBA free agency when Montrezl Harrell decided to leave for their crosstown rivals. This is a difficult position to replace but they could do so by advancing other positions on the floor.
