Why the Trade Benefits the Miami Heat

With the current state of the Miami Heat, they could use another All-Star player on their roster. DeMar DeRozan is the perfect fit for the team and what they like to do offensively. This will make them difficult to guard because of their depth and each position.

DeRozan is still one of the best mid-range threats in the NBA today. The Heat have been linked to many names during free agency in 2021. Giannis Antetokounmpo recently signed a five-year extension to remain in Milwaukee so he is a huge name off the board.

This means the Heat have a spot on their roster for another big-name player. DeRozan and Butler would be a duo that could win come postseason time. The Heat have proved that they have a core in place to complete.

Miami is not afraid to make the big move. If the Spurs are really shopping DeRozan this offseason, the Heat could be one of the first teams on the phone trying to make a deal.
