Buddy Hield is a name that has been brought up a ton in trade rumors this offseason. While the Sacramento Kings have not pulled the trigger on a trade yet, there is still a chance they could in the future. If they do, Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks seem like one of the top potential landing spots.
Rumors connected the Mavericks to Hield earlier this offseason. They are a team close to contention in the Western Conference and a player like Hield could be the missing piece.
Last season with the Kings, Hield put together a very underrated all-around season. He averaged 19.2 points per game to go along with 4.6 rebounds and 3.0 assists. Hield shot 42.9 percent from the floor overall and knocked down 39.4 percent of his three-point attempts.
Obviously, Hield has become one of the league’s most prolific three-point threats. That would be a good fit for the Mavericks, who need more shooting around Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis.
All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at a potential trade that would send Buddy Hield from the Kings to the Mavericks to pair with Luka Doncic.
