Shake Milton & Seth Curry Give 76ers Best Shooting Bench In NBA
Last season, the Philadelphia 76ers bench was terrible, ranking bottom 5 in the league points per game and they struggled to find reliable shooting options when it mattered most. Furkan Korkmaz, Alec Burks, and Shake Milton were all great three-point shooters during the regular season but in the NBA Bubble and in the playoffs, everyone except Milton was non-existent.
This offseason the 76ers bolstered their three-point shooting off the bench by bringing in one of the most reliable three-point shooters in the NBA in Seth Curry. Last season, Curry ranked third in three-point shooting percentage at 45.2% and ranks second All-Time in three-point shooting percentage.
He is one of the best three-point shooters in the entire league and with him on the wing, Simmons and Embiid will have a true three-point shooting threat that they can feel comfortable giving the ball to.
Milton, Curry, and Korkmaz are all 40% or better three-point shooters and with all three of them coming off the bench for the 76ers this year, they will have plenty of options on the wing to turn to for a big shot. Because of all of their shooting abilities, the 76ers will end up with the best perimeter-oriented bench in the NBA.
Three-point shooting is at an all-time high right now in the NBA and the recent Eastern Conference champs found a lot of success in the playoffs bringing in perimeter threats off the bench. The Miami Heat were one of the better perimeter-oriented benches in the NBA last season and as a result, they made it all the way to the NBA Finals.
The addition of Seth Curry will have a major impact on the 76ers bench this upcoming season and the duo of Milton and Curry will help make up one of the best shooting benches in the entire league.
