The Houston Rockets still need to find a potential trade suitor for James Harden and while the Indiana Pacers haven’t been linked to this scenario, they could formulate an intriguing offer. At the very least, it could give the Rockets more leverage in a deal for one of the NBA’s top talents.
So far, the preferred destinations list Harden leaked to the media consisted of Eastern Conference contenders— including the Brooklyn Nets, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, and Philadelphia 76ers.
The Pacers have long been the franchise that builds a solid team but gets eliminated by the superstar that can carry his respective team. Even recently, teams that have a star like Jayson Tatum or Jimmy Butler with effective supporting casts have been more than enough to get it done, too.
If the Pacers allow the Rockets to trade Harden to an Eastern Conference contender, it’s going to be nearly impossible for them to make noise in the NBA playoffs. Taking the risk by making an offer for the NBA superstar is an intriguing possibility to think about, nevertheless.
