4 bold predictions for Milwaukee Bucks entering 2020-21 NBA season

Giannis Antetokounmpo is the only storyline in Milwaukee that matters and is the biggest question mark in the NBA heading into the 2020-21 NBA season. The Milwaukee Bucks’ front-office has made it very clear that they intend to do everything in their power to sign Antetokounmpo to one of the largest NBA contracts in league history as his contract is set to expire at the conclusion of the 2020-21 season.

Now, with the Dec. 21st deadline for Giannis to sign his super-max extension slowly creeping closer, time will tell Antetokounmpo’s future in Milwaukee as this season could very well end up being the back-to-back MVP’s final year with the Bucks. Whether he decides to sign the contract extension or not, Giannis could always re-sign in the offseason with Milwaukee, but chances are that he will not re-sign with the Bucks if he declines this massive contract extension.

Besides all of the Giannis storylines this offseason, the Bucks made a big trade and brought in former All-Star guard, Jrue Holiday. He has spent the last 7 seasons with the New Orleans Pelicans and has solidified himself as one of the better ”3-and-D” players in the entire NBA. His perimeter scoring abilities and playmaking abilities are what could prove to be useful next to Giannis, as the Bucks looked to add as much talent as they could around their star forward.

The Bucks also had a deal in place to acquire the sharp-shooter Bogdan Bogdanovic from the Sacramento Kings in a sign-and-trade in exchange for Donte DiVincenzo, D.J. Wilson and Ersan Illyasova, but the deal fell through when Bogdanovic said that he never agreed to be traded to the Bucks. Since the young Serbian was a restricted free-agent, the Kings could not trade him straight up and as a result, a trade that would have given the Bucks another offensive weapon fell through.

When comparing this year’s Milwaukee roster to last year’s, the addition of Jrue Holiday definitely stands out, but a big question remains of can this team actually outperform last year’s team or are they almost identical? Here are 4 bold predictions for the Milwaukee Bucks entering the 2020-21 NBA season.
