Why the Trade Benefits the Indiana Pacers
The Indiana Pacers already have All-Star star talent in the form of Domanatas Sabonis and Victor Oladipo. This is, of course, if the Pacers do not decide to trade Oladipo prior to the season. They could look to build around their talent and do so through the draft.
Acquiring a first-round pick from the Lakers would add them another player or they could use it as a trade piece in another deal for a star. Caruso would bring energy to their lineup and defensive ability off the bench.
With players like Domantas Sabonis, Malcolm Brogdon, and TJ Warren, the Pacers have a nice cord to build around moving forward.
Indiana is a playoff team in the Eastern conference with their current roster. The return for Oladipo would be huge and they can also get one for holiday if they decide to make a trade. This would help them in the upcoming season and beyond.
