Why the Trade Benefits the Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics had difficulty during the postseason with bigger players such as Bam Adebayo. They will need to improve down low and that is what can be accomplished in a deal such as this one.

The Celtics would add Ivica Zubac in this deal. He has shown promise as a starting-caliber big man during his time in the NBA. Boston would create depth with Zubac and Robert Williams. They would also get deeper at the point guard position with the addition of two veterans.

Both Patrick Beverley and Lous Williams would bring a strong impact to a Celtics team looking to compete for a championship. Boston would be able to have a needed blend of skill-sets alongside Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Tatum.

Los Angeles recently signed Morris to a long-term extension but there is no guarantee that they would not deal him for the right price. Heading into the season, Boston is viewed as one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference. That would become even stronger if they were to make a deal to improve their frontcourt.
