The Lakers already acquired one point guard in a trade this offseason, so why not continue the trend? This is a trade that would land them Derrick Rose from the Detroit Pistons in exchange for Kuzma, Jared Dudley, and a first round pick.

If the Lakers make a deal moving forward, it is likely the Kuzma is involved. He is the biggest trade piece on the roster right now. Rose has shown that he is still able to score of the ball on a consistent basis in the league.

He is not at the level of his former MVP self, but that is not what the Lakers would expect to get back in this deal. This would be a move to add a veteran guard off the bench to run the second unit.

Detroit could be sending away veteran players like Rose and Blake Griffin this offseason. The Lakers would be an intriguing landing spot for Rose.
