The Boston Celtics have been featured in many rumors this offseason but have not made a ton of moves just yet. One major move that could be made is a trade sending Kemba Walker to the Utah Jazz.
Walker signed a max contract with the Celtics last offseason. It is surprising to see the team thinking about trading him after just one season, but it is a realistic possibility. He dealt with ongoing issues with his knee in the playoffs and for a small guard, that’s concerning to see.
Utah recently signed Donovan Mitchell to a massive contract extension. He is their franchise player of the future and one that can lead them come postseason time. This trade would solidify the backcourt and give them another weapon.
If the Jazz are able to get Walker and not give up too much, it is possible that a deal gets done. The Celtics tried to move him to a new team in an effort to move up in the 2020 NBA Draft order— proving to not work, in the end.
Let’s take a look at what a potential deal might look like between the Boston Celtics and Utah Jazz— centered around Kemba Walker.
