2. New York Knicks
A big-name player available in a trade means only one thing, the Knicks will be involved. Well, at least the rumors will have them involved.
Over the years, New York has not been able to land a big player in free agency or in a trade. That might change this offseason with Leon Rose running the show.
The Knicks added Obi Toppin with the eighth pick in the draft. He will join RJ Barrett and Mitchell Robinson as core pieces of the team moving forward.
New York is in desperate need of a point guard. Frank Ntilikina and Dennis Smith Jr. are not the best options heading into a season. The Knicks have plenty of players they could trade away such as their two point guards, Kevin Knox, or Julius Randle.
John Wall is returning from an extensive absence due to injury, but his star talent is potentially something the Knicks would be in for.
This year, New York has a chance to land and explosive player that can bring some excitement to the Garden. They are in need of a culture changing player and that is what Wall would be.
