DJ Augustin: Detroit Pistons

Augustin is a small market NBA player. He has spent time with eight teams throughout his career and none longer than his four years with the Orlando Magic.

In free agency, Augustin could have a small reunion at a bargain price.

Augustin played 54 games for the Pistons in 2014. He averaged 10.6 points per game in 23.4 minutes. This offseason, Detroit could look to reunite with Augustin and put him in a much extended role.

He has turned into a big-time three-point shooter. Blake Griffin, when healthy, is an explosive player and one that could benefit from having a point guard to work with on the perimeter. That is where the Pistons could look into Augustin.

This deal would not cost the team much. It would put them in a position to already have an established point guard in place to run the offense.
