In the midst of an offseason like no other because of COVID-19 protocols and question marks about the upcoming season, rumors continue to circulate about where some big name players could be on the move to. Aging superstars and future All-Stars have all been talked about in trade rumors as the NBA offseason continues to heat up.

Perhaps the biggest storylines of this offseason revolve around the Houston Rockets, an organization which is on the brink of a complete rebuild. After moving on from head coach Mike D’Antoni and GM Daryl Morey, the Rockets are ready to move in another direction, meaning superstars Russell Westbrook and James Harden may find themselves in new uniforms come the start of the 2020-21 NBA campaign.

The Rockets have already started clearing house as on Monday night, they sent Robert Covington to the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for veteran wing Trevor Ariza and two first round picks (2020 & 2021). With this move, the Rockets have made their intentions clear that they want to build their team of the future through the draft and that everyone on their roster is available for the right price.

While the Houston Rockets garage sale continues to be open 24/7, other superstars around the league all have trade rumors circulating around them with numerous teams interested in acquiring them. Some of the other big names, beside Westbrook and Harden, that could hit the trade market this offseason include: Joel Embiid (76ers), Ben Simmons (76ers), Andrew Wiggins (Warriors), Blake Griffin (Pistons), DeMar DeRozan (Spurs), Marcus Smart (Celtics), Buddy Hield (Kings), Victor Oladipo (Pacers) and more!

While all of these players have potential suitors, their current teams may not be too keen on trading away their best players and as a result, could make for an interesting next few weeks as we begin the 2020-21 NBA season.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at the five blockbuster trades we all still want to see happen this offseason.
