3 reasons the Suns should push for a Spencer Dinwiddie trade

The Phoenix Suns have been in search of help for quite some time now. They have plenty of pieces that could be available in trades this offseason. A name that has come up quite a bit as a possible target is Brooklyn Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie.

Dinwiddie played well for the Brooklyn Nets while Kyrie Irving missed time with injuries. The 27-year-old point guard averaged 20.6 points, 6.8 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per contest in 31.2 minutes.

Dinwiddie chose to opt out of the NBA re-start and did not travel to the bubble with the Nets.

There are thoughts that Dinwiddie would be the perfect fit for the Suns. With Irving coming back, Dinwiddie would have to serve as the backup and that is a role he is above at this moment. For the Suns, he would be able to contribute right away.

If the Suns decide to make a trade for Spencer Dinwiddie, they would have to give up some pieces but it would be worth it. Here are three reasons why it would be a great fit.
