The Indiana Pacers entered the NBA offseason with the possibility of trading Victor Oladipo and Myles Turner as the greatest storylines surrounding them. If they were to move their rim protector, teams like the Boston Celtics and Charlotte Hornets could pursue him.
According to IndyStar’s J. Michael, the trade interest around the NBA remains ‘extremely high’ for Turner. Two teams were singled out in the report—- the Celtics and Hornets.
“Myles Turner had been resigned to playing on another team going into the offseason according to league sources with knowledge of the situation. The interest in him around the league remains extremely high, including Boston and Charlotte, but the most recent interactions he has had with the Pacers suggest he could stay put.”
The fact that Turner and the Pacers have communicated recently and were on the same page provides reason to believe the organization could see how the frontcourt pairing with Domantas Sabonis works under a different head coach.

The long-term solution for the Pacers’ frontcourt situation appears to be to have TJ Warren at the four— the spot he played when he tore up the NBA bubble. Making a choice between Sabonis and Turner has long appeared to be necessary and become all the more apparent.
It will be fascinating to see if a team around the NBA presents the Indiana Pacers with an offer they simply can’t refuse for Myles Turner. His ability to stretch the floor, get to the rim from out in space, and protect the paint all are intriguing for just about any team.
