The recent report that Devin Booker wants to get out of Phoenix — and that’s it’s the worst kept secret in the league — has led to obvious speculation about his future. If the Suns make the massive decision to trade Booker, few teams can offer a package as enticing as the Minnesota Timberwolves, who are looking to appease Karl-Anthony Towns.
Booker, of course, is close with both Towns and D’Angelo Russell. The trio has spoke about their desire to one day don the same jersey in the NBA, as they did in AAU.
If Booker becomes available, the Suns would probably have to sift through offers from dozens of teams. Booker is the type of talent that any team should try to feasibly acquire. But Minnesota’s luck stems from their lottery win, with the No. 1 overall pick.
It would give Phoenix the baseline for a return on Booker, although Minnesota would, of course, include more assets.
Let’s take a look at a trade that would send Booker to Minnesota to pair with Karl-Anthony Towns and shake up the NBA Draft.
