3. New Orleans Pelicans
The New Orleans Pelicans currently have four picks in the 2020 NBA Draft. They have a promising young core but could lose Jrue Holiday which would be a blow. They have holes on the floor despite their youth and they need to fill them.
The core begins with Williamson, Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, and Josh Hart. Holiday currently has one more year left on his contract before a player option for the 2021-2022 season. This is where New Orleans needs to figure out their plan.
If they cannot re-sign Holiday, there is a chance to use him in a trade to move up in the draft. There is no rumor that the Pelicans would be willing to do this but something could surface over the next two weeks.
New Orleans is a team in an interesting position because they have a number of individual players who are fun to watch, but the team has struggled. This is a chance to continue to improve through the draft.
