This Bulls-Lakers trade pairs Zach LaVine with LeBron James, Anthony Davis

The Los Angeles Lakers are fresh off of their 2020 championship, but we know LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and the rest of the organization won’t rest in their quest to repeat. Could trading for a talent like Chicago Bulls star Zach LaVine be an option?

If the Lakers have a chance to add to their already-impressive core, Los Angeles will examine opportunities. The Lakers could be aggressive if a star becomes available, as James is always in pursuit of the next ring.

Los Angeles might be able to look to Chicago, where the Lakers have a few assets that could interest the Bulls, and Chicago has a star in LaVine who could fit with the Lakers.

LaVine is part of the core in Chicago, but it’s worth noting he was acquired by the previous regime. Chicago has a new head coach in Billy Donovan and new Vice President of basketball operations in Arturas Karnisovas.

LaVine could very well be a part of their long term plans in the Windy City. But when an all-new regime takes over, it’s fair to wonder about some of the incumbent players.

Let’s take a look at a hypothetical trade that would send Chicago Bulls star Zach LaVine to the Los Angeles Lakers, and analyze it for each team.
