Both the Sixers and Clippers fell short of their goal in 2020, and it has led to speculation that each team could shake up their respective core for the 2020-21 season.
The Clippers have faced questions about George ever since he proclaimed 2020 was not a championship or bust season. As for Philadelphia, the duo of Simmons and Joel Embiid fell short once again, and the 76ers are left searching for answers.
Philadelphia has hired Daryl Morey after he stepped down in Houston, in what amounts to a new era for the Sixers. Morey’s tenure in Houston was of course marked by the franchise-altering trade that brought James Harden to Houston.
