4. Oklahoma City Thunder
Could the 76ers replace a big contract with an even bigger one? The Thunder will be looking to deal Paul this offseason and the Sixers could be an intriguing spot.
Aside from the explosion this would cause around the league, it fits in with the Sixers win-now attitude. Let’s face it, there is no leader on that team Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons have both failed to lead the Sixers on or off the court.
Paul is one of the best leaders in the NBA and is still an elite floor general. He led the Thunder to 44 wins after many thought they would be near the basement in the standings.
This would be a move that helps both sides. The Thunder would be able to get younger at the position and the Sixers acquire a player that would help them in the postseason.
Paul has plenty of experience playing with talented big men and would act as a coach on the floor. And of course, he and Rivers have spent plenty of time together.
