Toronto Raptors star Fred VanVleet is a free agent and the team could have a different look next season. Another aspect the Raptors will have to consider is whether to trade Kyle Lowry before his contract expires at the end of the 2020-21 season.
With so much uncertainty in the backcourt, perhaps the Raptors could be a fit for Beasley. It could even enable Toronto to give more serious thought to pursuing more drastic measures since they’d be insulated from beind left empty-handed.
The Raptors have had an excellent core for years (even minus Kawhi Leonard after he left) and there is much to be determined for Toronto this offseason.
If Toronto has multiple voids in its backcourt, Beasley could step in with a chance to contend in the Eastern Conference. His ability to knock down shots and score, in general, would be a welcomed set of attributes for the Raptors to stay afloat.
