This Bulls-76ers trade would break up Ben Simmons-Joel Embiid duo

The Chicago Bulls figure to be one of the more intriguing teams to watch this offseason, with an all-new braintrust in place. Chicago holds the No. 4 overall pick, and have the assets to swing a blockbuster trade if they’re willing to part with the necessary pieces. Could Philadelphia 76ers stars Ben Simmons or Joel Embiid come into play for them?

If Ben Simmons becomes available, the Bulls would be a great fit for the 25-year-old. Chicago is one of the teams with a unique mix of picks and talented young players that could entice a team such as the Sixers, if they’re intent on moving Simmons.

Thus far, the 76ers have held on to Simmons, and it appears new head coach Doc Rivers wants to keep the core of Simmons and Embiid together. But Philly came up short once again last season, and Rivers will be tasked with righting the ship.

If the 76ers eventually decide to take offers for Simmons, Chicago should inquire, as the Bulls need a star to help them reach the next level.

Let’s take a look at a hypothetical trade that would send Simmons to Chicago, and analyze it for both teams.
