The Boston Celtics may have other targets first, but if they were to acquire LaMarcus Aldridge, he would be a valuable piece in their front court with an eye toward the playoffs.
Aldridge would bring additional size to the Celtics’ front court, and perhaps most importantly, he’d join a determined Celtics squad looking to bounce back next season.
Aldridge’s salary is not cheap, at $24 million next season. But the Celtics could make it fit by moving a few salaries around in the trade.
If the Spurs move Aldridge, the Celtics would be one of the more intriguing options, where he would have a chance to compete for a title.
