Trade Idea from Grant Hughes of B/R

Atlanta Hawks Receive: Rudy Gobert, Joe Ingles

Utah Jazz Receive: Clint Capela, De’Andre Hunter, Kevin Huerter, No. 6 pick

With Rudy Gobert set to earn $26.5 million next season, his contract would be by far the largest involved in this trade proposal. The Hawks would also be taking on the near $10.9 million Ingles is set to earn— bringing the total to $37.4 million.

The Hawks would be sending out Clint Capela ($17.5 million) and he is under contract through 2022-23. Additionally, De’Andre Hunter ($7.4 million) and Kevin Huerter ($2.8 million) would raise the total for the salary the Jazz would take on to approximately $27.7 million.

The Jazz would still need to account for the $5.1 million the prospect selected with the No. 6 pick would be owed. Overall, that would still save Utah around $4.6 million in overall spending.
