3 trade packages Lakers could offer Thunder for Chris Paul

It was nearly a decade ago that the Los Angeles Lakers almost acquired Chris Paul from the New Orleans Hornets. Could the Lakers take Paul’s salary off of the Oklahoma City Thunder this offseason?

In 2011, NBA Commissioner David Stern vetoed a trade that would have sent Paul from New Orleans to the Lakers. Paul, of course, would end up in Los Angeles, just with the Clippers, not the Lakers.

Paul is certainly not the same player he was back in 2011, but at 35 he can still help a team in the right situation.

The Lakers of course are in a battle against the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals. But even if the Lakers win, LeBron James has proven to be relentless in his pursuit of roster improvement.

Could the Lakers finally acquire Paul from a Thunder team that is clearly in a rebuild? Here are three potential offers the Lakers could make for Paul.
