Bleacher Report has suggested a very intriguing deal that would send Jrue Holiday to the Pacers. For the Pelicans, they would receive a very solid compensation for sending their star combo guard to Indiana.

Pacers Receive: Jrue Holiday

Pelicans Receive: Myles Turner, Aaron Holiday, Doug McDermott, 2022 First-Round Pick

Both teams would have to seriously consider this move.

On the Pacers’ side of things, they would be getting a true star guard who could play either point guard or shooting guard. With the rumors swirling that Victor Oladipo could be traded, adding Holiday to play alongside Malcolm Brogdon in the back-court would make a ton of sense.

Holiday is a good offensive player and can score 20 points a night. However, the defensive side of the court is where he hangs his hat. He is an elite perimeter defender, which would fit into the mold that the Pacers have been proud of.

The Pelicans would be receiving three talented players. Turner would give them an elite rim protector and a big who can stretch the floor. Both Aaron Holiday and Doug McDermott would be quality role players, who can both shoot the three at a high level.

Obviously, this is a big trade and there is a chance that one or both sides would not like their return or the price it would take. However, if Holiday is going to be moved, this is the kind of trade package that could get it done.

Expect to hear a ton of rumors surrounding the Pacers and Pelicans. If Oladipo is on the move, Jrue Holiday would be an ideal trade target for Indiana. Keep an eye on this possibility as the offseason gets underway.
