Bradley Beal named a perfect trade target for the Denver Nuggets

The Denver Nuggets made an impressive run in the playoffs this season, but came up short against the Los Angeles Lakers. With the franchise being so close to NBA Finals contention, making a big move this offseason could be an option. Bradley Beal might be an intriguing name to keep an eye on.

Beal has been mentioned in trade rumors quite often over the last couple of years. He would be a perfect fit alongside Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic. This move would make a lot of sense, even though it wouldn’t come cheap.

Bleacher Report has named Beal as a perfect trade target for the Nuggets and they gave a brief explanation for why.

Nikola Jokic is just 25 years old, and Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. are both younger than him. They’re already in the conference finals with one of the best young cores in the league. If things sour at all between the star and the organization (Wizards), Denver would be wise to explore the possibility.

During the 2019-20 NBA season with the Wizards, Beal ended up averaging 30.5 points per game to go along with 6.1 assists and 4.2 rebounds. He shot 45.5 percent from the floor overall and 35.3 percent from the three-point line. Those numbers would look good in the Nuggets’ lineup.

Obviously, coming to an agreement on terms might be difficult. However, the Nuggets have quite a bit of young talent that they could use to swing this trade.

At 27 years old, Beal would fit this team long-term as well. Murray and Jokic are younger, but Beal is not old by any stretch. This core could be a serious contender in the Western Conference for years to come.

It would make a ton of sense for the Nuggets to make a trade for a star. They are a piece away from title contention and it’s time to get aggressive.

Expect to hear quite a few rumors surrounding Bradley Beal once again this offseason. The Wizards may not move him, but if they do, keep an eye on the Nuggets as a potential landing spot.
