Victor Oladipo has been rumored to be planning a departure from the Indiana Pacers next offseason. Following his return in the 2019-20 season, Oladipo ended up showing flashes of his former self along the way. Could the New York Knicks be in his future?
Rumors have unhappiness have surrounded Oladipo since his gruesome ruptured quad. He has remained non-committal to the team. Kevin Pritchard and the Pacers will have a tough decision to make this offseason.
According to a report from NBA reporter Jonathan Macri, the Knicks could end up being a trade destination for Oladipo if the star shooting guard does leave the Pacers.
Obviously, the Pacers would not move Oladipo just to move him. The Knicks would have to come in with an aggressive offer. New York has struck out on free agent after free agent over the last few years and the chance to get Oladipo would absolutely intrigue them.
It’s going to be a very interesting NBA offseason, to say the least. Indiana fired head coach Nate McMillan and the Pacers are rumored to be searching for an offensive minded head coach. Moving Oladipo would be detrimental to their present, but they cannot afford to lose him for nothing.
All of that being said, let’s take a look at a potential and intriguing trade between the Knicks and Pacers that would land Victor Oladipo in New York.
