NBA: 5 teams continue battling for No. 8 seed in Western Conference

The NBA Restart is now in full swing and in the West, it’s going to come down to the wire in regards to who grabs the final seed for the postseason.

As part of the new format that the NBA put in place for the eight spot, if a team is within two games or less of the eighth-place team, there will be a play-in series to determine who advances to the postseason.

As of right now, Portland is right on the Grizzlies heels, while just a half-game separates the Blazers, Pelicans, Spurs, and Suns.
