Nuggets’ Bol Bol shows intriguing flashes of potential in NBA debut

The Denver Nuggets were among the first teams to participate in a scrimmage during the NBA’s resumption of the season. Perhaps the greatest storyline was the professional debut of Bol Bol.

With many of the Nuggets’ guards, they had to get creative with their starting lineup. Nikola Jokic was slotted at the point guard along with Jerami Grant, Paul Millsap, Mason Plumlee, and Bol also in the unit.

Bol caught the attention of many and ended with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and six blocks. He displayed an intriguing ability to block shots while also having a play that featured him pulling up from beyond the arc in transition and knocking it down.

It will be important for Bol to become more efficient as he continues to gain NBA experience. It was just one game (and a scrimmage at that), but still, five turnovers and shooting 25.0% from beyond the arc leaves plenty of room for improvement.

With two more scrimmages remaining, Bol Bol will have a couple more opportunities to put his potential on display. He will need to make the most of it since it will likely be difficult for him to earn minutes when the regular season action begins under normal circumstances.
