RUMOR: Victor Oladipo may already be eyeing a move to the Heat

The rumors are beginning to fly when it comes to Indiana Pacers star shooting guard Victor Oladipo. Following his decision to sit out of the Orlando season resumption, the questions seem to be at an all-time high about his future with the franchise.

According to Alex Moore, who currently works for the Indianapolis Star, Oladipo already has his sights set on a potential deal with the Miami Heat next offseason when he becomes a free agency.

Granted, Moore is a meteorologist for the newspaper, but he responded to the critics surrounding his report why he has knowledge of the situation.

Victor Oladipo has long had dreams of being a singer in addition to his impressive basketball career. He even competed on The Masked Singer and drew quite an audience. Heading to a place like Miami would make a lot of sense from that aspect.

As for the Heat, there have been rumors that they are already planning to pursue Oladipo in free agency next offseason. Oladipo has one year left on his contract with the Pacers.

It would be a tough way for his tenure with the Pacers to end. He just came back earlier this season from a ruptured quad that set the franchise back by a season. Since returning, Oladipo averaged 13.8 points per game to go along with 3.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists.

All of this will depend on whether or not Oladipo looks good next season for the Pacers. Or, should the Pacers choose to trade him, whether or not the Heat could come up with an offer that intrigues Indiana.

One thing is for sure, which is the fact that Oladipo would fit nicely alongside Jimmy Butler. Miami is building a very dangerous roster and adding a healthy Oladipo to that core would take them to the next level.

Expect to hear a lot more about Victor Oladipo and to see plenty of rumors start flying around this offseason. If the Pacers are unable to come to terms on an extension with Oladipo, trading him could be their best option. Don’t be surprised if the Heat try to make a move for him sooner rather than later.
