NBA Mock Draft 2020: Obi Toppin rises up the board to No. 2 pick

The 2020 NBA Draft is still months away and the exact order of the selections has yet to be determined. With that being the case, there will be unprecedented amount of time for teams to formulate various plans depending on various outcomes that could occur.

A lot of focus will be placed on the Golden State Warriors for a few reasons. Not only do they have the best odds of landing the No. 1 selection, they are in a unique situation as a franchise. It’s not often a team still has the core members of a championship team with such a great draft pick.

While it’s still early, the Warriors reportedly interested in taking Georgia guard Anthony Edwards with the No. 1 pick if they were to land that selection. Of course, a lot could change before Golden State is on the clock, especially if the pick they end up having isn’t even in that spot.

One player to watch is Dayton forward Obi Toppin considering he recently received buzz for being a potential top-three selection from basketball scout Matt Babcock. He is an interesting prospect considering he has real versatility for the four spot and he’s already 22-years-old.

Going for proven results with a player like Toppin could be more attractive for teams considering this year’s class. CBS Sports’ Matt Norlander considers Toppin as being the ‘safest pro of the bunch’ when evaluating the 2020 class.

With that being said, let’s take a look at NBA Analysis Network’s latest mock draft.
