Milwaukee Bucks
The Milwaukee Bucks are a tough defensive team but are still lacking a true post player. This offseason, they will need to make a move that will give them the presence they need to win a championship. While the team has the core essentials to make a strong run, the playoffs are all about defense and halfcourt sets. This is where Dwight Howard will earn his dollars.
His season with the Los Angeles Lakers has flown under-the-radar thanks to LeBron James and Anthony Davis. However, Howard has been a steady contributor. While analysts may point to his reduced production, they also must take into account his playing time. His 2018 season with the Washington Wizards was cut short, but in 2017 with the Charlotte Hornets, Howard averaged 16.6 points and 12.5 rebounds while starting 81 games.
If paired with the Bucks, Howard will provide them the presence to offset teams in the East Conference such as the Philadelphia 76ers and Miami Heat. Money may not be a huge issue. Howard will be 35 years old next season and is currently playing on a vet minimum deal worth $2.5M.
