Coaching

The Philadelphia 76ers have had great success under the guidance of Brett Brown. But should they have done more? Dating back to last season, the faithful 76ers’ fans were calling for the firing of the head coach.

Even with the 76ers advancing to the playoffs the last two years, Brown has come under fire for his coaching and his inability to get his players motivated. What this break should have done for Brown is give him an opportunity to see the flaws in his approach.

With the season on pause for more than two months, Brown has had enough time to go over tape and see how he did not have his team in the right spot for the last two years. The 76ers are loaded with young stars Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid plus another emerging star in Tobias Harris.

What’s left for Brown to master is what has made Gregg Popovich such a master. If Brown can get the full potential of his players, the 76ers will be unstoppable.
